The Namdapha National Park is the largest protected area in the eastern Himalayan biodiversity region, and also the largest national park in India. It is located in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in northeast India. The park spans an area of 1,985 sq km (square kilometer), of which 177 sq km is the buffer zone and 1,808 sq km is the core area. Namdapha is considered to be one of the richest areas in terms of biodiversity.
The best time to visit the park is from October to April.
